Their lives spanned various continents, with thousands of miles separating them, but somehow they destined to find one another. Karissa was studying abroad in Scotland, where little did she know, she would meet the love of her life. It was a ‘girls night’ out at a Scottish pub, where suddenly Karissa couldn’t help but notice, a tall, handsome young man walk in. It was your “Guinness” shirt that I noticed you wearing, a drink of his choice, he laughed. But it was so much more than that, something magical began that day.

Throughout five years, after many trips back and forth, Skype dates, phone calls, letters and even separation, Alex and Karissa were reunited in Scotland. It was a rainy afternoon, on a path in the woods to a small castle in Scotland, Alex got down on one knee and asked Karissa to be his wife. Without hesitation, Karissa said ‘yes’.

Together they invited their friends and family to toast, cheer, and support their beautiful love in one of the most beautiful places in Seattle. It was to be about the marriage, not just the wedding. Alex and Karissa planned a small intimate wedding on Alki Beach. On May 6, 2016, it was a very beautiful and sunny day to say “I do”. While a piece of their hearts remained in Scotland, the beachside of Alki Beach welcomed them with open arms as they wedded in Seattle.

Alex and Karissa, thank you so much for trusting me and allowing me to document your first day as husband and wife. I loved everything about your wedding, the joy, the laughter and all the love. From the bottom of my heart, I wish you both all the best as you begin your journey hand in hand in Scotland!

"Stop your search for the perfect photographer right here. Honestly Kristine is amazing and her work speaks for itself. Not only did she give me beautiful wedding photos, she made the process of taking photos fun! She even worked extra hours getting my photos to me sooner so my in laws in Scotland could see them sooner. I was squealing on the couch with just the first bunch of photos she sent to me knowing there was more beautiful photos to come :) Couldn't be happier!" Mrs. Karissa Whitehead
