Lodder Family | Summer - Wild Grass Photography

I met the sweetest family the other night. As I drove to and from their family photo session, I couldn't stop the tears rolling down my face. Krissy, a beautiful, happy, God fearing, young mom, was diagnosed with brain cancer. My heart is aching for her family and I cannot stop thinking or praying for her. Being a believer of Jesus Christ myself, I believe in the power of prayer. Will you pray for Krissy?

"This is the confidence we have in approaching God: that if we ask anything according to his will, he hears us" 1 John 5:14

As I prepared for this session, I not only prepared my camera gear, but I was also preparing my heart and mind. I continuously prayed to God to bless me to be the light and somehow uplift this family and give them more faith in Him. I know how easy it can be to lose faith and feel so distant from God. Over a year ago, my family went through a big tragedy that has changed our hearts forever. My niece and two nephews were in a terrible life threatening car crash. The doctors didn't know if the two youngest would live, and I remember that moment when we had to completely surrender to God. Knowing that HE is in control, and that He is able to heal. It's not the doctors, you or me who is able to help or make a difference, only God can. When you fully surrender, believe and let God do His work, that is exactly when miracles start to happen. We felt God's presence so near as He began His work. Over a year later, we still continue to praise God for healing Eddy completely and for continuing to heal Jacob.

"For the LORD is a great God and a great King above all gods, In whose hand are the depths of the earth, The peaks of the mountains are His also. The sea is His, for it was He who made it, And His hands formed the dry land.…" Psalm 95:4

Our God is a living God, and He hears prayers. I've added Krissy to my daily prayer list, and I'm asking you to do the same. Please join myself along with so many others as we pray and ask God to heal Krissy fully! May all glory be to Him alone!
