Travis and Rachel met on an online dating site in January 2015 when Rachel stumbled across Travis’ picture in the “What if?” section. Sure, everything else was a match but they were just a little too far away from each other, Canada and USA. Rachel couldn’t resist Travis’ smile so she sent him one and the rest is history. Online messaging went to texting and calling every few days which lead to hours and hours of conversations. After two months of talking every day, the two decided to meet halfway in Seattle and one might say it was love at first sight. They started dating shortly after and began their long distance, international relationship.

Many miles and months later, on December 23, Travis put on a suit and got ready to pop the question. It was a stormy, slushy, nearly freezing temperature night in Vancouver, Canada. Travis braved the weather, got out a speaker to play their favorite song and got down on one knee in front of a Christmas tree display along the ocean. With tears of joy in her eyes, Rachel said yes!

On August 28, 2016, together they promised to weather anything life thrusted their way and asked their closest family and friends to witness their ceremony as two become one.Travis and Rachel married at the beautiful Semiahmoo Resort surrounded by stunning views of the water and nature. God looked down onto earth that day, and sent down blessings in droplets of rain. The rain made the day feel even more special knowing God was in the midst of it all.

Travis and Rachel, you are magical. There are no other ways around it. Your love is like the moon, keeping those around you happily in your orbit. You are magnetic and make people around you want to get even closer. Thank you for the honor of documenting your first days as husband and wife. Wishing you many years of blessings, happiness and joy only in the Lord.
